Individual Counseling in Marin County

I provide individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, grief, stress, or major life transitions such as divorce, job change, or becoming a parent. Many of my clients appear to be managing life well on the surface but feel anxious, disconnected, or unsure of their direction underneath.
In our sessions, I draw from:

  • Attachment-based therapy to explore how early relationships shape current experiences

  • Psychodynamic and object-relations approaches to uncover recurring emotional patterns

  • Somatic and mindfulness-based techniques to help regulate stress and reconnect with the body

  • Strength-based and humanistic work to foster confidence, self-compassion, and growth

Together, we’ll identify the underlying patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work toward a greater sense of ease, self-understanding, and emotional balance.

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy in Marin County

For couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners move from conflict and distance to closeness and security. Many couples come to therapy feeling frustrated by repeated arguments or emotional disconnection. In our work together, we’ll identify the negative cycle that’s taken hold in your relationship and learn how to step out of it.
Through EFT, couples learn to:

  • Recognize and de-escalate reactive cycles of conflict

  • Express vulnerability and emotional needs more openly

  • Strengthen trust and deepen emotional connection

Whether you’re rebuilding after a rupture, preparing for marriage, or simply feeling out of sync, EFT offers a proven framework for creating a more secure and connected bond.

My Approach to Therapy

My work is informed by several therapeutic models, including:

  • Attachment Theory & Therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Psychodynamic and Object Relations Theory

  • Trauma-Informed and Somatic Therapy

  • Mindfulness-Based and Compassion-Focused Therapy

  • Interpersonal and Narrative Approaches

I view therapy as a collaborative process—one that supports both insight and real-life change. My goal is to help you understand not just what you feel, but why you feel it, so you can move through challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Supporting Life Stage Transitions

I often work with clients who are moving through major life transitions. These may include:

  • Relationship changes or divorce

  • Career shifts or burnout

  • Becoming parents or navigating fertility challenges

  • Grieving a loss or caring for an aging parent

  • Adjusting to new roles or responsibilities

Life transitions can be disorienting, but they also hold potential for growth. Therapy can help you make sense of what’s changing and find new ways to approach yourself and others with understanding and compassion.

Supervision and Consultation

In addition to my clinical work, I provide supervision for Associate Marriage & Family Therapists (AMFTs) and consultation services for licensed therapists. I’ve served as both an individual and group supervisor since 2020, offering guidance grounded in ethical practice, self-awareness, and attachment-informed work.
